
Ayah has been teaching Yoga as well as facilitating women’s circles, rituals and dances for over 10 years. Certified Yoga Instructor RYA, Initiated minister through the fellowship of Isis , and life-long student of dance.
She has creatively infused a lifelong path of apprenticing in healing & ceremonial arts into her passion for therapeutic movement. Her intention is to help others develop a practice that suites their individual lifestyle needs while inspiring creative expression, strong inner body awareness, and connection to Spirit. She has been honored for her invitation and vision to create ceremonial dances in sacred sites.
Ayah continues to inspire and offer the encouragement of deep prayer and grace through her performance art as well as teaching.
The Art of Ceremonial Dance
This workshop will give you foundation to create a score or choreography that embodies the depth of your prayer. In this workshop you will define what is ceremonial art pertaining to dance and how can we authentically incorporate it as a foundation to creating sacred dances. We create the space to allow the discovery our deepest heartfelt prayers. Whether one intends to use this workshop for performance art or personal ritual amazing breakthroughs are possible! Learn how to prepare sacred spaces based on ancient tools that have been commonly utilized by native peoples.
Personal Mythology- we all have a story that makes up our life, our existence, our joy and pain. We begin to dance for the clear vision of peace asking for the vision to guide and heal us.
– preparing the body and mind to become a vessel for holding and channeling presence in ceremonial spaces.
– understanding the elements of Ritual though 4 part format: Invocation, Offering, Trance, Grounding.
– embodying the presence of you prayer as well as intention in performance art.
– Working with archetypes, directions, elemental, earth and spiritual guides
